We strongly recommend that teams do not hold practice this evening. No running or high‑intensity activities should take place under these conditions, as they significantly increase the risk of heat‑related illness.

If you choose to proceed with practice, please ensure you have coolers filled with ice water readily available so players can be cooled quickly if needed. Player safety must remain our highest priority. Early‑season practices are not important enough to justify putting children at risk.

Coaches, you know your athletes best. Not every team—and not every child—has the same level of heat tolerance. Some players spend considerable time outdoors and may be more acclimated, while others are not.

If you decide to practice, please incorporate frequent water breaks and closely monitor all players for signs of overheating.

We regret to inform you that all practices at Field of Dreams will be closed tonight due to the extreme heat index.  We follow the KSHSA guidlines  https://www.kshsaa.org/Public/PDF/HeatPolicy-Current.pdf  Based on these guidlines we can't allow practices tonight and we will keep you informed about the rest of the week.  If you have any questions please feel free to call me. 913-486-9160

We are excited to announce the Crown Camp taking place at Field of Dreams on June 15-16 from 9 am to 12 pm. This is a free event but spots are limited, so be sure to sign up soon! Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity!

All soccer games scheduled for today have been cancelled due to weather. They will be rescheduled for a later date.

We will assess the weather and fields around 4:45 and make a decision on games.

Traffic on K-7 North is not allowed to turn West on any road North of Parallel Road due to construction. This appears to be something that will last all week long.  We suggest using Parallel Road to 143rd St and heading North to Fairmount Road.

Players and coaches - wear your jerseys and meet at the kid's playground by 6:10 pm to line up for the pregame parade!
